About Me
Luca Domiro (b. 1979) is a UK based contemporary artist whose work captures a deeply personal journey of movement, identity, and rediscovery. Born in South Africa with Italian heritage, his paintings are shaped by a lifelong connection to place, memory, and the shifting energy of the natural world.
Early international travel as part of the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir exposed him to diverse cultures and landscapes, instilling a lasting sensitivity to colour, light, and atmosphere. Today, his work reflects these influences – each piece feeling like a fragment of memory, both intimate and open to interpretation.
After two decades in the corporate world, Luca returned to painting with renewed clarity and purpose. This shift brings an authentic depth to his practice, where themes of transformation, resilience, and balance are quietly explored.
Working across abstract landscapes, portraits, and seascapes, his paintings invite stillness and reflection – capturing subtle emotional moments and allowing collectors to form a personal connection with each piece.
Luca’s work is held in private collections internationally, across Europe, the USA, and Canada, and continues to resonate with collectors drawn to its calm presence and emotional honesty.
